LINDSAY.

My story began in 2019, when my husband was diagnosed with progressive MS. I became his full-time caregiver, along with taking over both parenting roles for our six kids and becoming the provider of our household. It was a whole lot of change at that time, and I was emotionally and physically exhausted in ways I didn't know were possible.

I found out real darn quick that autoimmune diseases don't just bring on physical symptoms. They come with a whole lot of unseen cognitive issues as well. Short term memory loss, mood swings, and personality changes are all part of it too.

After growing my audience to nearly 1.5 million followers across social media and building a caregiver support group of over 3,000 people, I learned that nearly all of them are dealing with the same heavy load. Caregivers grieve the person their loved one once was, and the person they themselves used to be. A whole identity shift happens, on top of the medical bills, the groceries, and the kids' needs. Most set their own needs aside and run on fumes, without even realizing that the title they carry is caregiver. We give back to those families in whatever way they need it most.

Lewxi is for those caregivers suffering in silence, financially, physically, and emotionally who feel like "it's all on me." We hand select and give back to each of the families we donate to.
